Regularly scrub calling lists

Post by bdjakaria76 »

Clear Opt-Out Mechanisms: Make it easy for prospects to request not to be contacted again.
Data Security: Protect the personal information you collect from unauthorized access or misuse.
Training on Compliance: Regularly train sales agents on all relevant legal and ethical standards. Ignorance of the law is not a defense.
Internal Audits: Periodically review your outbound calling practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Navigating DNC Lists and Consent:

Scrubbing Lists: Against national and internal DNC registries. Utilize automated tools or services for this.
Internal DNC List Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to uk phone number list -date internal DNC list of individuals who have specifically asked not to be called by your company. This list must be honored indefinitely.
Understanding Consent:
Express Written Consent: Required for autodialed or pre-recorded calls to mobile numbers and for calls to numbers on the National DNC Registry. This requires a written agreement, signed by the consumer, clearly authorizing the seller to deliver advertisements or telemarketing messages using an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice. Electronic signatures are permissible.

Established Business Relationship (EBR): In some cases, an EBR can provide an exemption from certain DNC restrictions (though not for autodialed calls to cell phones without consent). An EBR typically exists if the consumer has purchased, rented, or leased goods/services from the seller within the previous 18 months, or has made an inquiry or application within the previous 3 months. However, if the consumer has specifically asked not to be called, that request overrides any EBR.
