Then I tried to approach the issue from another angle. I tried to think about what other ways a podcast host might screen potential guests.

First I reiterated my question about who was the right person to talk to, assuming that without an answer, they were not the right person. Then I approached the question from a new angle, asking, "Is there a form I should fill out?

All this while always keeping in mind that I am trying to make things as simple as possible for them.
